Guru Granth Sahib

Guru Granth Sahib is the Sikh's Holy Book. The Guru Granth Sahib is a Granth (book), also known as Adi Granth originally compiled by fifth guru and later recompiled by other gurus who followed him. Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh ji appointed Guru Granth Sahib as the Eleventh Guru. Sikhism rejects idol worship, so Guru Granth Sahib is not worshipped as idol but rather they have respect for the book (Guru Granth Sahib) for the writings which appear within.

Guru Granth Sahib is a collection of devotional hymns and poetry which proclaims God. The Guru Granth Sahib aims at gaining peace of mind and complete renunciation.
